Tony Dungy spoke at the Global Leadership Summit in 2010.  Honestly, I'd never heard of him before that.  (You can figure out how much of a sports fan I am....)  Regardless of his sporting past, I must say, I was very impressed.

So, when I process both these leadership quotes, along with a dash of talent-based analysis, I come up with:

Learn about your team.  Analyze them, spend time with them, know them as people.  Learn their strengths and faults.  Help them become the best them you can.  Put them in positions to grow as them.  You will both be rewarded with success. 

Do I always accomplish that, or do it well?  Of course not....
